Personal Injuries, Defamation and other compensation claims
We provide advice, guidance and assistance in processing all types of compensation claims. Aidan Reynolds processes a substantial amount of civil litigation and has successfully negotiated, or by Court decision obtained, substantial compensation awards for clients. A substantial number of cases has been processed for loss and damage suffered due to the negligence of others or as a result of the failure of central government or local authorities properly to perform statutory duties imposed on them. The firm represented the first claimant in Ireland to be paid compensation for alleged sexual abuse by a member of a religious order, and presently represents a substantial number of claimants entitled to compensation as victims of abuse before the Residential Institutions Redress Board.
We have made a special study of the Personal Injuries Assessment Board (PIAB) and we can give clients all necessary assistance to enable them to process claims to that Board.

* (The Solicitors (Amendment) Act, 1994 prohibits a Solicitor acting for a client in connection with any contentious business (not being in connection with proceedings seeking only to recover a debt or liquidated demand) on the basis that all or any part of the charges to the client are to be calculated as a specific percentage of a portion of any damages or other monies that may be or may become payable to the client. In contentious business a Solicitor may not calculate fees or other charges as a percentage or proportion of any award or settlement.
