1972 – Brian Gallagher joins

1976 – Alan Shatter joins

1977 – Brian and Alan appointed partners



1981 - Alan Shatter elected to Dail Eireann

1987 – Alan Shatter introduces, as a private members bill, the Judicial separation and Family Law Reform Bill (enacted in 1989 introducing judicial separation to Ireland)

1988 - Aidan Reynolds joins firm



1991 – Aidan Reynolds appointed partner

1995 – Family Law Act

1996 – Ciara Matthews joins the firm

1996Family Law (Divorce) Act

1998 – Firm merges with Kevin O’Herlihy & Co

1999 – Ronan McLoughlin joins firm

2011Alan Shatter appointed Minister for Justice and Defence

2011 – Catherine Ghent joins the firm

2015 – Ciara Matthews appointed managing partner
